Mona Susan Nelson
Mona Susan Nelson, age 90, of Danville, died July 23, 1998, at home after a long illness.
She was former owner/operator of Nelson Grocery, Danville, a member of Danville Baptist Church, and a former 4-H club leader.
Surviving her are two daughters, Libby Browning, of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, and Alice Foglesong, of Horner; three sisters, Janice Durbin, of Laurel, Maryland, Macel Harris-Gould, of Green Bank and Berryville, Virginia, and Virginia Morris, of Charleston; and four grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p. m. August 1 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, by the Rev. Lee Johnson.

Marie Arlene Scott
Marie Arlene Scott, age 59, of Hillsboro, died Monday, July 27, 1998, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church.
Born at Burnside August 12, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Brent B. and Thelma Ina Nottingham Shields.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Shields, and a sister, Bernice Shields.
Surviving her are a daughter, Mattie S. Taylor, of Hillsboro; a son, Kyle L. Scott, also of Hillsboro; two sisters, Arberta E. Shields and Victoria I. Pritt, both of Hillsboro; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Thursday at the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Paul Goehner. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 9 p. m. at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church.

Cary N. Stanley, Jr.
Cary N. Stanley, Jr., age 70, of Fairborn, Ohio, died July 13, 1998.
He was born in Cass, November 27, 1927, the son of the late Cary Sr. and Gladys Stanley.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, a daughter, Mary Walters, and a son, Cary Stanley, III, seven grandchildren, two sisters, Velma Crass and Ruth Griffith, and one brother, Gary Stanley.
Burial was in Fairborn, Ohio.
