Dorsalene Price Henderson
Dorsalene Price Henderson, 64, of Frost, died suddenly Tuesday, November 17, 1998, in Jackson County.
She was born to Gladys and the late Clyde Price in Woodville on February 27, 1934.
Mrs. Henderson taught school for many years in Pocahontas County. She was also a counselor and a doctor of holistic medicine.
She was a Unitarian and a member of the P. M. Home Extension Club. She also volunteered at the Frost Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Brigetta Harold, of Luray, Virginia, and her son, Ronald Henderson, of Waverly, Virginia; two brothers, John Price, of Ripley, and Donald Price, of Alabama; one sister, Phyllis Noble, of Proctorville, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Henderson.
Memorial services were held Tuesday at the Frost Volunteer Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be sent to Berea College, Director of Alumni services, CPO 2343, Berea KY 40404, or to the Frost Volunteer Fire Department, Rt. 2 Box 99A, Marlinton WV 24954.

Edgar Jess Walton
Edgar Jess Walton, age 89, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, November 19, 1998, in Pocahontas Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Walton was a sawmill worker, logger, and coal miner. He was a Methodist.
A native of Hillsboro, he was the son of the late Charley and Ony Belle Scott Walton.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were four sisters, Bessie Scott, Mabel Rader, Irene Brock, Nellie Walton, and five brothers, Henry, Harry, Sam, Imon, and Clifford Walton.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Dean Walton; three daughters, Edith Arbogast, of Hillsboro, Brenda Burgess, of Marlinton, and Linda Hise, of Hillsboro; six sons, Floyd Walton, Wilburn Walton, and Darrell Walton, all of Hillsboro, Imon Dale Walton, of Union, Mark Walton, of Arbovale, and Dwight Walton, of Warm Springs, Virginia; a sister, Clarice Moore, of Poca; thirty grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday at VanReenen Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jack Burks, wih burial in Emmanuel Cemetery.

Asil Hayes Waugh
Asil Hayes Waugh, age 61, died Monday, November 16, 1998, at his home at Green Bank.
Mr. Waugh was retired from A&E Body and Towing, of Summersville. He was an Army veteran and a member of AARP.
Born January 31, 1937, in Marlinton, he was the son of Pearl Simmons, of Hillsboro, and the late Loyal Waugh.
Surviving him, in addition to his mother, are a daughter, Demetria Rossetti, of North Canton, Ohio; and son, Timothy Waugh, of West Virginia; a sister, Mary Hazel Thomas, of Marlinton; three brothers, Kenneth Waugh, of Arnett, Jimmy Waugh, of Beaver, and Charles Waugh, of Hillsboro.
Two brothers, Junior Waugh and Bill Waugh, are deceased.
Services were held at 11 a. m. Saturday at VanReenen Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jay Hicks, with burial in Mountain View Cemetery.

Annie Elizabeth Hogan
Annie Elizabeth Hogan, age 89, of Monterville, died Monday, Novmber 23, 1998, at Elkins Regional Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Hogan was a member of Point Mountain Church.
She was born at Mingo October 14, 1909, the daughter of Gould and Sarah Emma Wymer Ruckman.
Surviving her are her husband, Parker Lee Hogan; two daughers, Sarah H. Conrad, of Monterville, and Erma Pack, of Worthington, Ohio; two sons Winton Don Hogan, of Morgantown, and William Gould Hogan, of Chicora, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Four infant children are deceased.
Funeral services were held at the residence in Monterville at 11 a. m. Wednesday by the Rev. Marshall R. Williams, with burial in the Heavener Cemetery at Monterville.

Mary F. Wright
Mary Frances Gragg Wright, age 65, of Morgantown, died Thursday, November 19, 1998, at her home.
She was employed at West Virginia University Towers.
Mrs. Wright was born May 9, 1933, in Marlinton, a daughter of the late Charles and Margie McCloud Gragg.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Gragg, Charles Gragg, and Paul Gragg.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Margaret Simms, of Arthurdale, and Doris Sisk, of Buckhannon; two sons, James D. Wright and Mark Steven Wright, both of Morgantown; two brothers, Robert Gragg, of Landsdale, Pennsylvania, and Lonnie Gragg, of Staunton, Virginia; and a sister, Dolly Varner, also of Staunton.
Services were held Sunday in the William McCulla Funeral Home by the Rev. David Smith, with burial in the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.

Melvin E. Hamrick
Melvin E. Hamrick, age 69, of Valley Head, died November 18, 1998, in the Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins, following a brief illness.
He was born October 31, 1929, in Elkins, a son of the late Wesley and Ester Wamsley Hamrick. On April 14, 1951, he was married to the former Joan Iseli, who preceded him in death on November 9, 1995. He is survived by four sons, Bradley Hamrick, Buckhannon, Phillip Hamrick, Las Vegas, Nevada, Jeffrey Hamrick, Salt Rock, and Timothy Hamrick, of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers, Leonard Hamrick, Valpraiso, Indiana, Donald Hamrick, Fairmont, and Clifford Hamrick, Valley Bend; one sister, Mary Frances Hight, Fairmont; and fourteen grandchildren.
Mr. Hamrick was a graduate of Tygart Valley High School and worked for many years as a coalminer and was working for the Pittston Coal Company at the time of his retirement. He was a member of District 31, United Mine Workers of America.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 21, from the Tomblyn Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. William Sullivan. Interment followed in the Brick Church Cemetery near Huttonsville.
