Diana Sue Vaughan
Diana Sue King Vaughan, 47, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, September 21, at her home.
She was born on August 31, 1952, in Barboursville, the daugher of Ruby Jean Melton King, and the late Darrell King.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie Vaughan, and two sons, Richard Daniel Wilfong, of Spokane, Washington, and Todd David Wilfong, of Hillsboro.
Arrangements are incomplete at press time Wednesday morning.

Martha Wyatt
Mrs. Martha Wyatt, of Beard Heights, Marlinton, died at her home on Tuesday, September 21, 1999.
No arrangements have been made at press time. The body is at VanReenen Funeral Home.

Lottie G. Moore
Mrs. Lottie G. Moore, of Orrville, Ohio, died on September 20, 1999.
She will be buried in Pocahontas County but arrangments are in- complete at press time. The body is at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home.

Melba M. Hickson Fitzgerald
Melba Marie Hickson Fitzgerald, age 41, of Stony Bottom, died Wednesday, September 8, 1999.
Ms. Fitzgerald was born September 9, 1957, at Marlinton, to Marie Burris Hickson and the late Robert Hickson.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Mandy Fitzgerald, of Dunmore; two sisters, Connie Smith, of Bridgeview, Illinois, and Katherine Hickson, of Dunmore; four brothers, Robert Franklin Hickson, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, Michael Davis Hickson, of North Carolina, Zane Douglas Hickson, of Cass, Kim Damon Hickson, of Green Bank.
A Memorial service was held at the Arbovale United Methodist Church on September 17, by the Rev. Scott Ingleton.

Phil J. Nelson
Phil J. Nelson, of Newark, Ohio, formerly of Cass, died September 10, 1999, at Newark.
Mr. Nelson was born September 14, 1921, at Whitmer. He was the fourth son of the late Walter C. Nelson and Dewie G. Nelson.
Mr. Nelson was a former employee of Mower Lumber Company, of Cass, and retired from Hollophane Glass Factory in Newark. He was a veteran of the United States 3rd Army, and served under General Patton in World War II in Germany and France. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart Award.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hazel Warner Nelson; daughter, Barbara Burris, of Aiken, South Carolina; son, Bud Nelson, of Newark; three sisters, Mary Etta Tacy, of Beckley, Betty J. Haislop, of Baltimore, Maryland, Dollie V. Lewis, of Green Bank; four brothers, Tom and Bob Nelson, both of Massillon, Ohio, Don Nelson, of Marlinton, and Ted L. Nelson, of Goose Creek, South Carolina; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Services are incomplete at this time but graveside services are being planned with interment in Arbovale Cemetery.

Jean S. Hannah
Jean S. Hannah, age 71, of Oceana, died Saturday, September 18, 1999, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, following a short illness.
Born November 6, 1927, at Frost, she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Goldie Dilley Fertig.
She was a homemaker and attended the Oceana First Church of God.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Joan Fertig.
Survivors include one daughter, Marsha Hannah Thompson, of Pineville; one granddaughter; one sister, Elta M. Powell, of Covington, Virginia; one brother, Lyle D. Fertig, also of Covington.
Services were held Wednesday at Evans Memorial Chapel, Oceana, by the Rev. William Wagner, Jr. Burial was in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
