Ernestine Clarkson
Ernestine Clarkson, 76, of Cass died early Wednesday morning at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Ivan Clarkson.

Lonnie L. Malcomb
Lonnie Lee Malcomb, 58, of Salem,Virginia, died November 1, 1999, at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem.
He was born on March 30, 1941, in Marlinton, the son of Harry and Thina Neighbors Malcomb.
Mr. Malcomb was an assembly worker at Graham White Manufacturing and a Protestant.
Survivors include two sisters, Madeline Lovelace, of Roanoke, Virginia, and Helen Cornett, of Raceland, Kentucky.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p. m. at VanReenen Home. Services will be at 2 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Dorn officiating. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.

Madge D. Hill
Madge D. Hill, age 85, of Elkins, died Thursday, October 28, 1999, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, after a long illness.
She was born at Edray, on February 24, 1914, the daughter of John Wallace and Mary Evelyn Hogsett Dilley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Hill; brother, Dempsey W. Dilley; son, James C. Anderson; daughter, Ramona L. Defibaugh; and a granddaughter, Donita Kay Defibaugh.
She is survived by a sister, Eula D. Gibson, of Marlinton; a son, Marvin O. Hill, of Dailey; a daughter, Sharon J. Dean, of Little Rock, Mississippi; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a Methodist by faith, Past Worthy Matron of Gulf Beach Chapter #241 Order of Eastern Star, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Past Grand Instructor, District #14, OES, in Florida.
A private memorial will be held at a future date.

Keith Michael Corley
Keith Michael Corley, age 39, of Frost, died Wednesday, October 27, 1999, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Rt. 39 near Huntersville.
He was born November 27, 1959, at Morgantown, a son of Harvey L. "Sam" Corley, of Elkins, and Cheryl Ann Halverson, of Beverly.
Also surviving are one son, Joseph Michael Corley, Goode, Virginia; one sister, Laura Shelton, Belington; and his fiancee?, Brenda Carr, of Frost.
Keith graduated from Elkins High School with the class of 1978, and worked as a mason for Abbot Masonry of Lynchburg, Virginia. He was a member of the Woodford Memorial United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at the chapel on Saturday at 11 a. m. by the Rev. Dr. Sheldon Sorge. Cremation followed.

Clyde Carl Hively, Sr.
Clyde Carl Hively, Sr., age 88, of Warm Springs, Virginia, formerly of Pocahontas County, died Wednesday, October 27, 1999, at Springs Nursing Center in Hot Springs.
Mr. Hively was a retired farm and grounds manager for Ellis Foundation and a member of Warm Springs Presbyterian Church and Valley Springs Masonic Lodge.
Born May 24, 1911, in Pocahontas County, he was the son of J. Luther Hively and Dolcie Dilley Hively.
Surviving him are his wife, Maude Caraway Hively, of Warm Springs; two sons, James Edward Hively, of Broadway, Virginia, and Clyde Carl Hively, Jr., of Millboro, Virginia; five grand-children and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p. m. Friday at Warm Springs Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Don Wilkinson. Burial was in the Warm Springs Cemetery.

Infant Kayla Marie Simmons
Kayla Marie Simmons, infant daughter of Charles E., Jr., and Melissa Bryant Simmons, of Meadow Bluff, was stillborn October 27, 1999, in Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea.
Also surviving are the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bryant, of Dawson; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Simmons, Sr., of Marlinton; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Oscar, of Marlinton.
Graveside service was held Saturday in the Bryant-Holliday Cemetery, Meadow Bluff.
