Edith Wooddell

Edith Wooddell, 75, of Green Bank, died early Tuesday, November 23, 1999, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
She was the wife of Geral Wooddell. Arrangements are incomplete at press time. Wallace and Wallace Funeral home has the body.

Herbert Clutter

Hebert Clutter, of West Alexander, Pennsylvania, died November 22, 1999.
He was the father of Barry Clutter, of Marlinton.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday in West Alexander.

Eugene Dunbrack

Eugene Richard Dunbrack, age 72, of Marlinton, died Tuesday, November 16, 1999, at Nicholas County Health Care Center.
Mr. Dunbrack was a retired truck driver and a Presbyterian. He served in the Army in World War II.
Born at Campbelltown October 16, 1927, he was the son of the late Burgess and Della Deshong Dunbrack.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Beatrice Waugh and Helen Adkins, and four brothers, Summers Dunbrack, Harry Dunbrack, Clarence Dunbrack, and Ralph Dunbrack, Sr.
Surviving him are his wife, Oleta M. Moore Dunbrack; four daughters, Mary Lou Edgar, of Chester, Virginia, Yvonna Triplett, of Flatwoods, Donna Middleton, of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Pamela Bennett, of Dunmore; two sons, L Michael Dunbrack, of Buckeye, and Richard E. Dunbrack, of Marlinton; two sisters, Bertha Galford and Betty Lou Friel, both of Marlinton; a brother, Curtis Dunbrack, also of Marlinton; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday afternoon at VanReenen Funeral Home by the Revs. Randy Benson and Jerry Moore.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Steven Garrett Swanz

Steven Garrett Swanz, infant son of Ashley Shawn Ferguson and Daniel Swanz, died November 15, 1999. Steven was born on October 10, 1999, in Dallas, Texas.
Surviving are a half-sister, Jaden Alexis Ferguson, of Dallas, Texas; maternal grandparents, Donna McQuain, of Dallas, Texas, and Glen Ferguson, of Sarastota, Florida; paternal grandmother, Susan Swanz, of Grand Prairie, Texas; maternal great-grandmother, Naomi McQuain, of Dunmore; maternal great-great-grandmother, Inez Horner, of Marlinton.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Delford O. McQuain.
Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Marlinton, on Saturday afternoon.

Ida Deal Combs

Ida Deal Combs, age 85, of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Crab Orchard, died Monday, November 15, 1999,
Born January 22, 1914, in Blacksburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Alonza and May Gillispie Bland.
She was a member of Bowe Gardens Baptist Church, Melbourne.
Her first husband, Sherman Deal, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Grover C. Combs; a son, Sherman Deal, Jr., of Montgomery, Alabama; a daughter, Phyllis Deal Lilly, of Jacksonville, Florida; a brother, Frank Douglas Bland, of Baltimore; eight gandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Florida.
(The daughter, Phyllis Lilly, and husband, Don Lilly, had a vacation home for years at Clover Lick before moving to Florida.)
