Elsie Irene Wilfong Madison
Elsie Irene Wilfong Madison, age 79, of Hampton, Virginia, died Friday, November 22, 2002, at Sentara Hampton General Hospital. She was a Methodist and a member of AARP. Born at Marlinton April 13, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Asa I. and Mary E. Wheeler Wilfong. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Lee Madison, and two brothers, Ivan Wilfong and Elmer Wilfong. Surviving her are two daughters, Marshall Beal, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Donella Madison, of Hampton; two sons, Marion Madison, of Harmony, North Carolina, and Kerwin Madison, of Hampton; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at VanReenen Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. David Rittenhouse. Burial was in the Wilfong Cemetery.
