Marjorie Rebecca Mann
Marjorie Rebecca Mann, age 79, of Route 1, Marlinton, died Friday, January 17, 2003, at home.
Mrs. Mann was born September 7, 1923, at Kanawha Head, the daughter of Huston Grant and Cosby Crawford Roby.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Woodrow Mann, and a son, Kenneth Woodrow Mann.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jean Holden, of Rocky Mount, Virginia, and Beverly Jo McPaters, of Dunmore; two sons, Robert Lee Mann and William Wayne Mann, both of Marlinton; a sister, Ruby Mann, of St. Albans; a brother, Kenneth Roby, of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sunday afternoon at VanReenen Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Moore.
Memorial donations may be made to Pocahontas Memorial Hospital.

Etta Mae Barb
Etta Mae Barb, age 84, a resident at Pinecrest Hospital, Beckley, died Friday, January 17, 2003, in Appalachian Regional Hospital at Beckley.
Born at Durbin January 30, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Josephine Simmons Bailor.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Wilfong, of Mill Creek, Virginia Dolan, of Hillsboro, and Barbara Barb, of Durbin; six sons, Paul Barb, Jr., of Mill Creek, Robert Ray Barb, of Buckeye, Thomas Lee Barb, of Marlinton, Carl Richard Barb, of Hillsboro, Randall Eugene Barb, of Oak Hill, and Donald Wayne Barb, of Dunmore; three sisters, Janet Bailor and Mary DeHaven, both of Durbin, and Gladys Martin, of Mill Creek; thirty-one grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Everett Paul Barb, two sisters, Florence DeHaven and Earnestine Bailor, and two brothers, Robert Bailor and Bill Bailor.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at VanReenen Funeral Home in Marlinton by Lloyd Arbogast. Burial was in the Ruckman Cemetery.

Archibald W. Moore
Archibald William Moore, age 49, of Baltimore, Maryland, died Saturday, January 18, 2003, at his home.
He was born May 9, 1953, in Baltimore, the son of William H. and Nellie Virginia Cain Moore, of Rt. 1, Marlinton.
He was an auto mechanic, an Army veteran, and was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy.
Survivors include his parents; a son, Robert William Moore, of Baltimore; a sister, Cathy Atkins of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two brothers, Robert Charles Moore and William L. Moore, both of Baltimore; and two grandchildren.
Services were held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at VanReenen Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Mann, with visitation from 4 to 6.

William R. Stanley
William Russell "Bill" Stanley, age 76, of Navarre, Ohio, died at his residence Thursday, January 16, 2003.
He was born November 22, 1926, in Cass, the son of the late William G. and Margaret Ludington Stanley, and had lived in Navarre since 1964.
Russ was a retired driver for Portec, Inc., and a retired self-employed van driver. He traveled to 49 of the 50 states and was on numerous cruises.
He was a member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, those preceding him in death were a daughter, Donna Jean Stanley, sisters, Louise Costello and Beatrice , brother, Homer Stanley, and an infant brother and sister.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eleanor Martin Stanley; daughters, Mrs. Carrie Barbarito, of Keyser, Barbara "Bobbie" Meredith, of Perry Heights, Ohio, and Betty Flick, of Malvern, Ohio; son, Russ Stanley, of Navarre; sisters, Pearl Naste, of Fohl Village, Ohio, and Phyllis Warnick, of Canton, Ohio; brothers, Paul Stanley, of Canton, Earl Stanley, of Colorado, Sonny Stanley, of West Virginia, and Casey Stanley, of South Carolina; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at Atkinson-Feucht-Shaidnagle Fune-ral Home in Navarre by the Rev. David West. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
