Helen Arbogast Swisher
Helen Arbogast Swisher, age 74, of Ellicott City, Maryland, died August 27, 2003, at home following an extended illness. She was formerly of Cass.
She was born May 26, 1929, to James Lawrence and Bessie Simmons Arbogast, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Arthur P. Swisher, on August 25, 1988, and two brothers, Ernest and Roy Gale Arbogast.
Surviving her are a daughter, Deana Grimn, and a son, Michael Swisher, both of Maryland; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Cassell, of Arbovale; and brother, Everett Arbogast, of Cass.
Visitation was in Ellicott City Sunday and graveside services were held in the Arbovale Cemetery by the Rev. David Rittenhouse on Monday.

Tony Matthew Putzulu
Tony Matthew Putzulu, age 50, of Buckhannon and Snowshoe, died Sunday, August 31, 2003, at Valley Head in an auto accident.
He was a machine operator for CSX and a member of the Snowshoe Ski Patrol. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #598.
Born August 7, 1953, at Buckhannon, he was the son of the late Joseph F. Putzulu, Sr., and Maxine Cobb Putzulu.
Surviving him are his wife, Pam Painter Putzulu, whom he married July 16, 1982; a son, Tyler Mathew Putzulu, and a daughter, Lindsey Marie Putzulu, both at home; two brothers, Joseph F. Putzulu, Jr., of Fort Myers, Florida, and Lawrence L. Putzulu, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Cynthia A. Hinkle, of Buckhannon, and Mary E. Frey, of Summersville.
Memorial services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral Chapel in Buckhannon with Father Giles LeVasseur officiating.
