Jennie Howard Viers
Jennie Lynn Howard Viers, age 71, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at her home in Buckeye, after a long illness.
She was a member of the Buckeye Presbyterian Church, Senior Citizens, Pocahontas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and AARP 1853.
Born February 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late M.C. (John) and Eula Rose Howard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James H. (Buck) Howard, and two sisters, Eileen Hanson and Guilda (Sis) Browning.
Mrs. Viers is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bob Viers; son, Steven, of Summerfield, North Carolina; daughter, Susan McClung, also of Summerfield; godchild, Robert Soriano, of Charlottesville, Vir-ginia; step-granddaughter and two stepgrandchildren; sisters, Joanna Sharp, of Hillsboro, Juanita McNeill, of Marlinton, Betty Kane, of Bellair Bluff, Florida, and Luna Bryant, of Dundalk, Maryland; half-sisters, Eula Jane Kitchen, of Richmond, Virginia, Cynthia Pritchett, of New Kent, Virginia, and Sandra Howard, of New Port Richey, Florida.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at VanReenen Funeral Home by the Rev. Greg Moore. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Frances A. Pritchard
Frances A. Seaman Pritchard, age 86, died at Westminster-Canterbury in Winchester, Virginia, on Friday, May 7, 2004.
Born December 18, 1917, in Wilmington, Delaware, her family soon moved to Charleston. She was married in 1941, to the late Stephen E. Pritchard, of Dunmore, and they lived in South Charleston and then Sistersville for 40 years. She went to Winchester a little over a year ago.
She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, active volunteer and supporter of Girl and Boy Scout organizations and school groups, and member of many service organizations.
Her husband and a son, Edward S. Pritchard, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Alice A. Metzler, of San Diego, California; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services were held Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Sistersville, by the Rev. Colleen F. Griffith.
Graveside services were held at Baxter Presbyterian Cemetery in Dunmore on Wednesday.

Clara McCombs McCurry
Clara McCombs McCurry, born April 15, 1912, died May 1, 2004, in Lady of the Shepherd Nursing Home in Warren, Ohio.
She was formerly of Marlinton (Williams River).
Mrs. McCurry was preceded in death by her husband, Alison McCurry, her father and mother, John and Sarah Cogar McCombs, sister, Clemmy McCombs, and brothers, Clarence, Claude, Colman and Cecil McCombs, and three daughters, Geraldine (Jerry) Snyder, Juanita Parobeck and Linda Smith.
Surviving her are two sons, Lawrence and Larry McCurry, two daughters, Ruth Sams and Helen Warner; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of Ohio; one sister, Clorie McCombs Green.
Her funeral was held at Paine Funeral Home in Orwell, Ohio.
Mrs. McCurry was the aunt of Lou Ellen Phillips, Opal Buzzard, and Juanita Warwick, all of Marlinton.
