George Castle
George Castle, age 61, of Wyandotte, Michigan, died February 25, 2004.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 3, at the Gibson Cemetery with Pastor Sam Felton officiating and military honors by the Pocahontas Honor Guard.
He was born in Michigan on April 26, 1942, the son of George and Marian Castle, of Gladwyn, Michigan.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Susie Castle (granddaughter of Willie and Stella Gibson); one son, George Castle, IV, of Monroe, Michigan; one granddaughter; and one step-granddaughter.

Agnes Helen Gross
Agnes Helen Gostomski Gross, age 96, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at Pocahontas Center, Marlinton.
Born September 21, 1907, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the son of the late John and Agnes Landowski Gostomski.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Joseph Gross is deceased, having died July 2, 1974, and three sisters and two brothers are also deceased.
She is survived by a son, William Gross, of Joppa, Maryland; three daughters, Annette Powell, of Baltimore, Joan Berndette Beverage, of Droop, and Gail Burns, of Ronceverte; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday evening at VanReenen Funeral Home in Marlinton and at Cvach-Rosedale Funeral Home Tuesday in Rosedale, Maryland.
Christian Burial Mass was Wednesday morning at St. Clement Church, Rosedale, Maryland, by Father Richard. Burial was in the Gardens of Faith, Garden of The Resurrection, in Overlea, Maryland.

Lena M. Wagner
Lena M. Wagner, age 95, of Painesville, Ohio, formerly of Frank, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at Altercare of Mentor in Concord Township, Ohio.
Mrs. Wagner retired in 1968 from working at the Painesville Township Schools. She was a member of the Painesville Church of The Nazarene.
She was a native of Bartow, where she was born June 30, 1908.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1993, and by her sister, Hazel Tracy, and brothers, Brady, Virgil, and Paul Spencer.
Surviving her are a son, Samuel Robert Wagner, of North Jackson, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Collins and Mrs. Jeanne Gragg, both of Painesville; three sisters, Margie Simmons, also of Painesville, Marie Wooddell, of Meadville, Pennsylvania, and Nellie Malcomb, of Lakeland, Florida; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held on June 28 at Frank Church of the Nazarene in Frank, with burial in the Arbovale Cemetery.

James L. Mace, Sr.
James L. Mace, Sr., age 77, of Baltimore, Maryland, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004.
Mr. Mace was born December 6, 1924, in Pocahontas County, the son of Truman and Hattie Jackson Mace.
He was the husband of the late Reba R. Kirkpatrick Mace; father of Jeannette Alex, James L. Mace, Jr., and Douglas N. Mace, Sr. He was the brother of Delbert, Bertha, Rella and Hazel. He had four grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild, and three step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the family-owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc., with interment at the Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
