<span>Marie Nottingham</span>
Marie Nottingham, age 83, of Durbin, died Friday, February 11, 2011, at her home.
Born August 26, 1927, at Durbin, she was a daughter of the late Arcellous and Monna Bennett Simmons.
She married Lester A. Nottingham on June 18, 1948. She was a retired cook from Pocahontas County Schools and a member of the Durbin United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitch, crocheting, canning and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Morgan.
She is survived by a son, Harold Nottingham, of Geneva, Ohio; four daughters, Frances Rider, and husband, Doug, of Marlinton, Judy Matheny, and husband, Jerry, of Durbin, Debra Thornton, and husband, Wayne, of North Carolina, and Roberta ?Bobbi? Shreve, of Morgantown; eight grandchildren, Christopher Matheny, Patrick Matheny, and wife, Valerie, Justin Rider, and wife, Yvette, Stephanie Murray, and husband, T. J., Andrew Arbogast, and wife, Kelley, Ryan Shreve, Christine Tiedman and Danny Tiedman; six great-grandchildren, Madison Arbogast, Makayla Arbogast, Sophia Murray, Erin Rider, Kala Honaker and Paige Tiedman; two brothers, Ralph Simmons, and wife, Jo Ann, of Palm City, Florida, and Jim Simmons, and wife, Jean, of Fairport Harbor, Ohio; a sister, Bessie Sutton, and husband, Ivan, of Sykesville, Maryland; a brother-in-law, Homer Morgan, of Hinton; and aunt, Sally Tingler, of Montrose; a sister-in-law, Emma Nottingham, of Durbin; and her beloved cat and companion, Pollyanna.
Memorial service is Saturday, February 19, at 1 p.m. at Durbin United Methodist Chruch with Revs. Gary Phillips and David Rittenhouse officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the National Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
