William F. "Bill" McCloud, age 75, of Marlinton, died Thursday, February 24, at Carilion Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.

Born February 23, 1936, at Clover Lick, he was a son of the late Norman and Stella Circosta McCloud.

Bill was a construction inspector for the U. S. Forest Service, a Navy veteran, a member of VFW Post 4595 and was of the Brethren faith.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Rose McCloud, of Marlinton; a daughter, Mary D. McCloud, of Lewisburg; two sons, Steven L. McCloud, of Morgantown, and David W. McCloud, of Marlinton; a sister, Betty Fullen, of Akron, Ohio; two brothers, Curtis McCloud, of Akron, Ohio, and Robert McCloud; two half-brothers, James Cook, of Colorado, and Randall Cook, of Akron, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Trey and Forest Pondexter and Taliyah Overton.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, February 27, at VanReenen Funeral Home. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday, February 28, at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Mann officiating. Interment will be in Moutnain View Cemetery.
