Forrest L. Beard, Jr., age 92, of Marlinton, died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton.

Born September 20, 1917, at Hillsboro, he was a son of the late Forrest L. and Rachel M. Clark Beard.

Forrest was a farmer and was of the Presbyterian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Clarence W. Beard, Rice Beard, Luther Beard, Warren Beard and Starrett Beard; and four sisters, Eda Beard, Mamie Beard, Laura Weiford and Clara B. King.

Graveside service is Sunday, March 27, 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Cameron Harkness officiating.
