Virginia M. Smiley, age 89, of Stow, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Hospice of VNS.

Born October 9, 1921, at Seebert, she was a daughter of the late Winters and Retta Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Harper; a second husband, Earl Smiley; and four siblings, W. Alfred, Harriet Lou, Billy, Marilyn and Anita.

She is survived by her children, Henry Harper, and wife, Nettie, of Keller, Texas, Alfred Harper, and wife, Karen, of Stow, Ohio, and Mary Harper, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; four grandchildren, James, and wife, Carrie, David, Allen and Jamie; and a brother, Jack Miller, and wife, Betty, of Fairmont.

Memorial service is Saturday, March 26, 11 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, with Pastor Ross Slaughter officiating.
