Shirley Ann Sharp Hollar, age 62, of Mount Jackson, Virginia, died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.

Born May 14, 1948, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of Blanche Beverage Allen, of Baltimore, Maryland, and the late Dock Sharp.

Shirley was a production worker having worked for James E. Zerkel, Inc., Shenandoah Valley Press, Merrillat Corporation and Georges Food and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, William A. Sharp.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Michael D. Cookus and Darrell W. Cookus, both of Mount Jackson, Virginia; a sister, Diane L. Maxwell, of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, Van W. Sharp, of Mount Jackson, Virginia, and Earl L. Pachilis, of Aberdeen, Maryland; and five grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Monday, April 4, 6 -9 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home. Funeral service is Tuesday, April 5, 11 a.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Marlinton.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
