Edith Roberta Ryder Heavner, age 50, of Marlinton, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye.

Born October 13, 1960, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of Aceil B. and Nancy Hefner Ryder, of Marlinton.

Roberta was a certified nurse aide and was a member of Alvon United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Ralph Heavner, of Marlinton; two sisters, Carolyn Doerr, and husband, Rusty, of Morgantown, and Susan Gainer, and husband, Glen, III, of Parkersburg; and a brother, Aceil Ryder, Jr., and wife, Leigh, of Marlinton.

Family will receive friends Thursday, April 14, 3 -8 p.m. at Alvon United Methodist Church. Funeral service is Friday, April 15, 1 p.m. at Alvon United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert McClinic, Pastor Richard "Buck" Caldwell, Kyna Moore and E. G. "Buzzy" Keller officiating. Interment will be in May Cemetery near Marlinton.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Aceil or Nancy Ryder.
