Hazel Lillian Lewis, age 91, of Mill Point, died Friday, May 6, 2011, at her home.

Born August 14, 1919, at Renicks Valley, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Tilda Roberts Blankenship.

Hazel was a homemaker and was a member of the Mt. Kennison Church of God. She loved hunting, fishing and looking for ginseng.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lewis; a son, Wayne Lewis, Sr.; three sisters; and eight brothers.

She is survived by three daughters, Trixie Chayer, Theda Baxter and Thelda Turner, all of Mill Point; a son, Delbert Lewis, of Mill Point; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service is Monday, May 9, 2 p.m. at the Mt. Kennison Church of God with Pastor Jack Burks officiating. Interment will be in the Sharp Cemetery, Mill Point. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
