Elmer Ober
Elmer Ober, age 84, of Durbin, died Saturday, May 14, 2011.
Born September 29, 1926, at Thornwood, he was one of 10 children of the late Oren and Gladys Ober.
Elmer faithfully attended Living Faith Mennonite Church of Durbin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Harry David Ober and George Ober; three sisters, Irona Smith, Bertha Moats and Henrietta Smith; and two brothers, Fred Ober and Oren Ober, Jr.
He is survived by two daughters, Valerie Jean Brokus, of Belair, Maryland, and Georgia Katherine Hought, of Meadville, Pennsylvania; a son, Elmer James "Jimmy" Ober, of Nashville, Tennessee; a sister, Vida Burris, of Baltimore, Maryland; three brothers, William Ober, of Marlinton, George Ober, of Thornwood, and Roy Ober, of Baltimore, Maryland; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Saturday, May 21, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. Funeral service and Interment will immediately follow at Gum Cemetery on Back Mountain Road with Pastor Dave Plank officiating.
