Gary "Pe-Wee" Fansler

Gary "Pe-Wee" Fansler, died Sunday, May 29, 2011.

Born May 28, 1951, at Elkins, he was a son of the late Howard "Gene" and Julia Sainato Fansler.

After graduating from McDonald Ohio High School in 1969, he served in the Navy and received three honorable discharges of which he was very proud. He was an accomplished guitarist and had a love for all music, as well as animals, especially horses. Being an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed being on the water and archery, and he was a long bow champion. He retired in 2003 from RTI Titanium Company, also known as RMI in Niles, Ohio, following 34 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Belinda, "Billie" Hartwig Fansler, of Canfield, Ohio; two sisters, Nancy Oleska, and husband, Joe, of Poway, California, and Rosanne Berndt, and husband, Cary, of McDonald, Ohio; a nephew, Ben Brendt, of Akron, Ohio; a niece, Julianna Bramwell, and husband, Kyle, of Poway, California; and two aunts, Mary Theresa Roy and Vickie Ward, of West Virginia.

Gary will remain in West "By God" Virginia, his favorite saying for his home, after having been brought off the mountain by a horse rescue team organized by Ranger Buster Varner and his best friend Warren McCall.

An outdoor memorial service will be at the Paradise United Church of Christ, 10020 New Buffalo Road, North Lima, Ohio, Sunday, June 26, at 10 a.m.
