Will James Pennington

Will James Pennington, age 21, of Bartow, died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Born November 29, 1989, at Elkins, he was the son of James Lynn and Lucille Virginia Mallow Pennington, of Bartow.

Will was a self-employed logger. He was a 2008 graduate of Pocahontas County High School. He was an avid deer and bear hunter and enjoyed sports of all kinds. He attended both Calvary Gospel Church and the Boyer Brethren Church and was a member of the Bartow, Frank and Durbin Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by two uncles.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Felicia Smith, and husband, Joshua, and their son, Tanner, of Marlinton; girlfriend, Mercedes Warner, of Bartow; paternal grandparents, James Pennington, of Bartow, and Rebecca Moses, of Beverly; maternal grandparents, Delmar and Lucille Mallow, of Bartow; seven aunts; three uncles; one foster uncle; and several cousins.

Family will receive friends Saturday, June 11, from 6 -8 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. Funeral service is Sunday, June 12, 2 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home with Rev. Amy Paul officiating. Interment will be in the Arbovale Cemetery Annex.
