Anna Lee Ware Grimes, age 87, of Marlinton, died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Pocahontas Center.

Born August 23, 1923, at Boyer, she was a daughter of the late Randolph and Ethel Lantz Ware.

Anna Lee was a farm wife and was a member of the New Hope Church of the Brethren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odell S. Grimes; two brothers, Ed Ware and Wayne Ware; and a sister, Violet Rexrode.

He is survived by a daughter, Connie Carr, and husband, Terry, of Marlinton; two sons, Ronald Grimes and Toby Dilley, and Douglas Grimes, and wife, Connie, all of Marlinton; eight grandchildren, Laura Grimes, Randy Grimes, Rebecca Puffenbarger, Melissa Ervine, Rhonda Ferguson, Levi Carr, Cody Carr and Clay Beverage; and eight great-grandchildren, Jonathan Burks, Chara Grimes, Zachary Grimes, Sydney Puffenbarger, Max Ervine, Jessica Ervine, Carlie Ervine and Logan Ferguson.

Family will receive friends Sunday, June 19, from 6 -9 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home. Funeral service is Monday, June 20, 1 p.m. at the New Hope Church of the Brethren with Pastor Julian Rittenhouse officiating. Interment will be in the Arbovale Cemetery Annex.

Memorials may be sent to the Pocahontas Center Auxiliary.
