David Parker Williams, age 71, of Arbovale, died Thursday, July 7, 2011.

He was the son of the late Ralph and Wilma Parker Williams.

Dave was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, photographer, 4-H All Star and Leader.? He enjoyed 38 years of service to 4-H, teaching shooting sports at county and state camps. Dave was a soccer referee in his younger days as well as refereeing volleyball and basketball.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Brenda; two sons; Barry Charles Williams, of Ronceverte, and Timothy David Williams, and wife, Debra, of Midland, North Carolina; three brothers, Gordon, and his wife, Mary Ann, of Phoenix, Arizona, Clyde, and wife, Gladys, of Front Royal, Virginia, and Charles, and wfe, Kay, of Berkeley Springs; four grandchildren, Tori Lynn, Kaylee Noel, Hunter Felton and Logan David Williams, all of Midland, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at the Pine Grove Church of the Brethren in Arbovale.
