George Henry Miller, age 86, of Marlinton, died Monday, July 11, 2011, at Pocahontas Center.

Born January 14, 1925, at Spruce Flats, he was a son of the late Emory George and Icie Duncan Miller.

George was a retied truck driver and was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Miller, sisters, Mary Moore and Arlene Brown, and brothers, John Miller, Glen Miller, and Winters Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Eva Shearer Miller; a daughter, Karen Underwood, of Belleville, Ohio; three sons, Tom Miller, Keith Miller and Mike Miller, all of Marlinton; two sisters, Elneta Friel, of Elyria, Ohio, and Lojetta Blackwell, of Joplin, Missouri; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 13, from noon to 2 p.m. at Van Reenen Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. with Pastor Robert Mann officiating. Interment will be in Cochran Cemetery at Onoto.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marlinton Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
