Amber E. Nease
Amber E. Nease, 16, of Williamsburg, Virginia, died Friday, July 8, 2011.
Amber completed her sophomore year at Glen Allen High School this year, where she was captain of the field hockey team and also played soccer. She had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed many outdoor activities with her family.
She is survived by her parents, Devon and Beth Nease; grandparents, Val Mason, Dick and Bettina Nelms; loving cousins, Kelsey and Garrett Mason, Ben, Molly, and Sam Helton; and many aunts, uncles, school and church friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Olive Branch Christian Church, 7643 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, Virginia.A celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 15, at Gayton Baptist Church, 13501 N. Gayton Road, Richmond, Virginia.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Amber Nease Outdoor Education Fund, c/o Wachovia Bank (at any Wachovia Bank location) or towww.GaytonYouth.org/Amber

Pocahontas County and the Greenbrier River Trail Association lost a dear young friend this weekend in Williamsburg, Virginia. Amber Nease and her parents, Devon and Beth, loved Pocahontas County so much they?bought a second home here. They loved the river and the trail and they competed in the Great Greenbrier River Race nearly every year as a family team--winning many prizes and friends.
Amber, 16, ?was killed in a car wreck on Saturday in Williamsburg. Her parents, both members of the Greenbrier River Trail Association, have set up an outdoor education fund in her name. Tribute by Leslee McCarty
