Warren E. Slaven, age 76, of Cass, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at the Pocahontas Center in Marlinton.

Born July 29, 1934, at Cass, he was a son of the late Frank and Carrie Slaven.

Warren was a lifelong resident of Cass and was retired from the Cass Scenic Railroad.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Beaty, Margaret, Kat and Dot; and two brothers, Frank, Jr., and Ralph.

He is survived by Rosalie; son, Michael, and wife, Priscilla; grandson, Eric; sister, Lou; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Rittenhouse officiating. Interment in the Meadowland Cemetery at Bergoo.
