Jackie Bill Phillips, age 78, of Jonesville, South Carolina, formerly of Spencer and Marlinton, died Friday, August 26, 2011, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Jackie was a retired maintenance mechanic for AEP, was an Army veteran, a Little League umpire, an auctioneer and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Born October 22, 1932, at Spencer, he was a son of the late William S. and Gelah Richards Phillips.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Jane Phillips.

Jackie is survived by his son, Joe Don Phillips, and wife, Carla, of Jonesville, South Carolina; three sisters, Patty Ice, Annabelle McClain and Carolyn Nichols, all of Spencer; two brothers, Gary Phillips, of Ripley, and Bobby Phillips, of Reedy; and two grandchildren, Zane and Ukiaha.

Graveside service was Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the Cochran Cemetery in Onoto with Pastor Joshua Jones officiating.
