Mary Etta Walters

Mary Etta "Sissy" Ray Walters died Monday, August, 22, 2011, at Autumn Care of Nashville, North Carolina.

Born May 17, 1933, in Huntersville, she was a daughter of the late Albert B. Ray and Zula Grimes Ray Young.

She attended West Droop School and Hillsboro High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and her step-father, Lee Young.

Mary Etta is survived by her husband, Wiley "Buck" Walters, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; two daughters, Brenda Weeks, and husband, Tim, of Spring Hope, North Carolina, and Karen Edwards, and husband, Robert, of Nashville, North Carolina; ? one son, Jerry Walters, and wife, Gwen, of Littleton, North Carolina; two brothers, Carl "Virgil" Ray, of Augusta, Georgia, and Robert "Bob," Ray, and wife, Hilda, of Waxsaw, North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Crump and June Edens; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Following private entombment at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, a memorial service was held at the Goldrock Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Rocky Mount, North Carolina..??
