Richardson ~ Galford Wedding
Stephanie Marie Richardson, of Hominy Falls, and Joseph Donald Galford, of Marlinton, were united in marriage April 23, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. at Stillwell Park. Reverend Troy George officiated. The bride and groom exchanged vows with about 150 friends and family in attendance. The ceremony was followed by a reception catered by Rayetta Barnisky.
The bride is the daughter of David and Nettie Gage, of Hominy Falls. She is the granddaughter of the late Gene and Jean Gage and the late Mozine and Ida Borden. The groom is the son of Donald Galford, Jr., of Marlinton, and Ellen Galford, of Buckeye. He is the grandson of Harry and Louise Thomas, of Marlinton, and the late Donald Galford Sr. and Eva Galford.
Given in marriage by her father and her son, the bride wore a satin a-line wedding gown accented with halter neckline and a turquoise sash.
Matrons of honor were Laurie Starcher, of Quinwood, and Sydney Hellems, of Canvas. Best man was Stephen Midkiff, of Asbury. Groomsman was Gage Richardson, son of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Bluefield State College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Early/Middle Education. She is employed as a teacher with Greenbrier County Schools. The groom attended Potomac State College and is employed by West Virginia Mine Power in Anjean.
After their honeymoon in Ohio's Amish Country, the couple resides in Hominy Falls.
