Michael Steven Broce, age 58, of Marlinton, died Thursday, September 1, 2011, at his home.

Born November 27, 1952, at Marlinton, he was a son of Mary Ruth Moss Broce, of Buckeye, and the late George Armand Broce.

Mike was a school bus driver for the Pocahontas County Board of Education and was a member of Swago United Methodist Church in Buckeye and attended the Huntersville United Methodist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Allen Broce.

He is survived by his mother; his wife, Tammy Kincaid Broce, of Huntersville; three daughters, Aleisha Gail Arbogast, and husband, Joseph, of Valley Head, Christina R. Broce and Josh Bond, of Dunmore, Hope R. Landis and Chris Spencer, of Buckeye; two sons, Jason M. Broce, and wife, Katie, of Buckeye, Johnny L. Landis, and wife, Anna, of Marlinton; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 4, at VanReenen Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Shields officiating. Interment in Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntersville United Methodist Church or Swago United Methodist Church.
