Floyd E. Moore
Floyd E. Moore, age 95, of Sebring, Florida, died Saturday, September 3, 2011, in Sebring.
Born May 30, 1916, at Stony Bottom, he was a son of the late Ellis and Eva Meeks Moore.
Floyd was a truck driver for Florida Power and Light. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maydelle Moore; five brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by a daughter, Judy Brown, and husband, Rufus, of Sebring, Florida; a son, Kenneth Moore, and wife, Rosamund, of New Castle, U.K.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Maxine Foe, of Cass, and Dorothy Shinaberry, of White Sulphur Springs.
Funeral service was September 10 at Stephenson - Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, Florida, with Rev. Ron DeGenaro, Jr., officiating. Interment was in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
