Kayla Faith Ramsey, age 21, of Marlinton, died Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Marlinton.

Born December 2, 1989, at Ronceverte, she was a daughter of Darin Lee Ramsey, of White Sulphur Springs, and Tina Michelle Combs, of Marlinton.

Kayla graduated from Pocahontas County High School in 2008 where she was the 2007 Homecoming Queen and Prom Princess. She had traveled to France with the French Club. She was a waitress having worked for Dorie's Lounge and The Greenbrier Grille. She also worked at Fas Chek.

A free sprit, she loved people, loved to paint and loved to laugh.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Regina Sue Combs.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Medina Caroline Ramsey, of Marlinton; two brothers, Darin Shane Richard Ramsey and Izaac Lee Ramsey, both of Marlinton; grandparents, Darrell and Rose Ramsey, of White Sulphur Springs; and a companion, Scott McGee, of Marlinton.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 28, from 5 - 7 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. with Marty Giddings and Darrell Ramsey officiating.
