Donald Clark Gum
Donald Clark Gum, age 76, of Ronceverte, died Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.
Born February 10, 1935, at Arbovale, he was a son of the late Markwood and Dorothy Arbogast Gum.
Donald had been a resident of Ronceverte for many years and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Ronceverte. He retired as a salesperson from Martin and Jones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Sheets and Ruby G. Salyers; and a brother, Harold Gum.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Larue Gum, of Ronceverte; a daughter, Donna Yost, of Morgantown; a step-daughter, Lisa B. Yates, of Frankford; two sons, Donald C. Gum, of Richmond, Virginia, and Mark Gum, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two step-sons, George R. "Bob" Brown, of Frankford, and John Brown, of Ronceverte; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorial service is Sunday, October 16, 2 p.m. at Longanacre Funeral Home Chapel, Fairlea, with Pastors Mike Estep and Ella Dorsey officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.
