Mary Frances Lane, age 74, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Born April 28, 1937, at Cass, she was a daughter of the late Lena Gum.

Mary attended school at Cass and had worked with Zero Pack and Winchester Medical Center and had been a homemaker in recent years. She enjoyed shopping and gardening.

She is survived by two sons, James Franklin Lane, of Wardensville, and Richard Allen Lane, of Berkeley Springs; two daughters, Barbara Jean Merchant, of Berkeley Springs, and Frances Kay Kern, of Smithburg, Maryland; a sister, Connie Blake, of Culpeper, Virginia; a brother, Danny Galford, of Chicago, Illinois; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service is Saturday, October 22, 11 a.m. at Turner Cemetery in Cass.

Friends and family are invited to a reception immediately following the service at the Cass Community Center.
