Robert Lee Wilfong
Robert Lee Wilfong, age 78, of Marlinton, died Friday, October 28, 2011, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye.
Born March 30, 1933, at Clover Lick, he was a son of the late James C. and Anna L. Dilley Wilfong.
Robert was a retired coal miner and farmer. He was a member of the United Mine Workers District 31, and an Air Force veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Jones.
He is survived by is wife, Luna B. Sharp Wilfong; a daughter Lora J. Bottke, of Louisa Virginia, three sons, Robert Wendell Wilfong and Kenneth W. "Red" Wilfong, both of Marlinton, and Kent E. "George" Wilfong, of Louisa, Virginia; a sister, Karen Shinaberry, of Frank; three brothers, James "Jim" Wilfong, of Frank, Ronald E. Wilfong, of Marlinton, and Gene E. Wilfong, of Cass; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Mountain View Cemetery with Rev. Robert Mann officiating.
