Nelson Gay Clendenen, age 65, of Alvon, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, at his home after a long illness.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 10, from 6 -8 p.m. at the Alvon United Methodist Church. Funeral service is Wednesday, January 11, 2 p.m. at the Alvon United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby McClintic officiating. Interment will be in the Little Creek Cemetery in Little Creek.
