Dale E. Slayton, age 88, a longtime resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland, died peacefully Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a sudden illness.

Dale was born in Durbin.

He worked as an automobile mechanic, a master machinist and an electronics technician.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Slayton; three sons, Perry, Rick and Joe; and a daughter, Vickie.

Following his wishes, he was cremated and an honor service was held June 6 at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, Maryland.
