Jeanne McCutcheon Britton died peacefully after a brief illness at the RiverMead Retirement Community on Friday, August 10, 2012. She was one month shy of her 92nd birthday.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, New Hampshire, where Mrs. Britton's remains will be buried at the Memorial honoring women who served in the Armed Forces.
