HELP WANTED - Cass Scenic Railroad now interviewing for the following seasonal positions: Tour Guides: Must be able to speak clearly and read from a script on PA system aboard trains. Must be dependable: give excellent customer service and able to work weekends, holidays and some evenings. Tour Guides should be available for work from Memorial Day through end of October. Brakemen: Duties include cleaning passenger coaches, collecting trash, assisting passengers in all aspects of train travel, operating hand brakes on passenger coaches, and assisting with mechanical repairs. Brakemen may be called upon to perform other jobs throughout the Park. Brakemen must be capable of giving excellent customer service and work some weekends, holidays and evenings. Brakemen should be available for work from Memorial Day through end of October. Track Workers: Must be able to work outdoors and use a variety of power and hand tools. Primary assignment will be the repair and maintenance of railway track and related structures. Must be able to work some weekends, holidays and evenings. Track Workers should be available for work from March through end of October. Please Note: Railroad employees are subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. Job will consist of picking up seniors in the Hillsboro area, dropping them off at the Hillsboro Senior Center and then returning them home in the early afternoon. Van will be stationed in Hillsboro. All driving positions require a high school diploma or GED and a West Virginia Class D Chauffeur’s license. All positions require a drug test and criminal background check.
