Drug Take-Back Initiative


Do you have unused, unwanted or expired medications lying around your house?

Help the community and safeguard the environment by properly disposing of your prescriptions drugs.ᅠ

On Saturday, April 30, the Pocahontas County Prevention Coalition will participate in the DEA's National Drug Take-Back Initiative.

This event will be held at the Snowshoe Career Center in Marlinton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Accepted medications are prescription medications, over the counter medications, pet medications, tablets, pills, capsules, patches, vitamins, supplements, inhalers, suppositories, homeopathic remedies, liquid medications in leak proof containers and unused personal use needles or sharps.

IV bags, blood or infectious waste, nebulizers, oxygen tanks and mercury thermometers cannot be accepted.
