Monroe County author Brittany Cassity read from her book "Fiddlebug" at Hillsboro Elementary School last Wednesday. Cassity, dressed as a fairy, explained to the students in response to their questions that she could not fly and that she began to tell this story to her young sons while her husband was in Iraq. Eventually, she began to write the stories and now works from her office in a treehouse.
