Derek Meek and Blair Polhamus are proud to announce their upcoming wedding on November 11 at Reiman Gardens in Ames, Iowa.

The parents of the bride are Chuck and Heather Niday, of Boyer. The groom's parents are Jerry and Gwen Meek, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Blair graduated from Pocahontas County High School and will graduate this fall from Iowa State University with a degree in Women's Studies. She works at a domestic violence and sexual assault shelter.

Derek graduated from George Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is pursuing a degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University. He works as a programmer for Iowa Interactive.

The couple resides in Ames, Iowa.
