Carl Hunter Ryder, age 81, of Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, September 9, 2006.

Born July 29, 1925, he was the son of the late Carl and Lucy Cassell Ryder.

Hunter lived his early years in Cass and attended Green Bank High School before entering the Navy.

He worked for Wilkensburg Water Authority for 30 years.ﾠ He may have lived in Pennsylvania but he considered West Virginia his home.ﾠﾠﾠ

He is survived by a daughter, Darlene Ryder. and a grandson, of Miami, Florida, and a sister, Roma Ryder, of Turtle Creek.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Blanch Oleksuk Ryder, brother, Paul, sister, Violet, and his parents.

Services were held at Jobe Funeral Home, Inc.ﾠ Interment with military honors followed at Twin Valley Memorial Park.
