Starting the Green Machine
For weeks, the Farmers Market has offered a variety of baked goods, fresh eggs, herbs, crafts and flowers. But not much in fresh fruit or vegetables. Next Saturday our produce supply will start to pick up.

The Pearl S. Buck Birthplace Foundation will host its First Annual Croquet Tournament on Sunday, July 10. Don your whites (or argyles) and join us for a few rounds of recreational croquet on the rolling lawn of the Hillsboro home where Pearl Buck was born.

AmeriCorps Energy Express reading program kicked off Tuesday, June 21, at Marlinton Elementary School. The program serves 32 children in Pocahontas County by providing two nutritious meals along with reading based activities.

Recently, the Greenbrier Valley Circuit Riders, Lewisburg Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) completed their annual Run For The Son. Joining forces in this effort were members of the Salvation Riders of White Sulphur Springs and others who participated in the ride.
