Forget Ozzfest and Warped Tour. Camp Barefoot 4 Music and Art Festival offers days of entertainment in your own backyard.
The festival is August 19 through 21 at Camp Hidden Meadows in Bartow and features more than 37 top rated acts in independent music, including Lotus, Perpetual Groove, Toubab Krewe, Hackensaw Boys, The Bridge, Umelt and The Breakfast.
Along with live music on a main stage and two side stages featuring a rotating cast, the festival also features live artists, arts, crafts and food vendors and The Kids Zone, a safe and fun area with entertaining activities for kids.
Promoters of the event, Heybro Productions, LLC, work with a different non-profit organization for every event they promote.
Camp Barefoot 4 Music and Art Festival is working with the Pocahontas County Humane Society.
モ[We] are a grassroots company that strives on putting together well organized events,ヤ Heybro CEO Scott McLain said. モWe not only showcase unbelievable music and good vibes, but [we] focus on making awareness to the attendees on little things in life, like the beautiful nature that surrounds us here in West Virginia, to helping support charities in need.ヤ
Many drawings will be held during the festival to raise money for the humane society. On Saturday, a charity kickball game called モFans vs. Bandsヤ will be held on the festival grounds. The teams will consist of 20 attendees for the fans' side and musicians from the event for the bands' side. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the humane society.
モWe are really trying to push this year's benefit and great cause as we all love pets and the Pocahontas County Humane Society really needs our help,ヤ McLain said.
Camp Hidden Meadows features a pond with a huge water slide, a wading creek, ample wooded camping areas, hiking trailsᅠ plus an outdoor climbing wall and a 1,000 ft, zip-line.
Advance weekend passes are $105 plus tax and will increase the day of the event to $140. Saturday passes are available for $60.
Shuttle service will be available for festival-goers, and everything will be located within walking distance once on the grounds.
