Whether you have a sweet tooth or youﾒre jonesing for a good cup of coffee, the Flour Girls Bakery and Cafe at the intersection of Routes. 219 and 66 at Slaty Fork has what you crave.

The ﾓgirls,ﾔ consisting of Stacy Beckwith, Whitney Beckwith, Tina Beckwith, Teresa Sharp and Doris Doyle, serve up homemade-from-scratch goodies for breakfast, lunch and snacks.

ﾓWe have a full coffee, tea and espresso bar and baked goods galore,ﾔ Stacy said. ﾓAnything you can imagine.ﾔ

For breakfast, choose from bagels, sticky buns, cinnamon rolls and a breakfast roll with sausage and cheese baked in the bread.
The cinnamon rolls are to die for, warm or cold. The decadent frosting alone will have you coming back for more.

At lunchtime, the girls offer a special consisting of soup and sandwich combo or a casserole dish. Vegetarian options are available, as well.

Save room for dessert, for this is where the girls excel. Cakes, pies, cookies and, of course, cupcakes line the display case, waiting to the plucked from their perch. If you find yourself dining at Huarache Loco, which is next door to the bakery, try the Key Lime pie. Itﾒs made by the girls.

Specialty orders are, well, the girlﾒs specialty. They will cater to your needs for open houses, birthdays and weddings. Wedding cupcakes are a new trend the girls are following, with your choice of flavors.

All the breads made at the bakery are egg-free. The girls can also bake gluten-free goodies.

To wash down those stick-to-your-ribs treats, check out the extensive coffee, espresso and tea bar. The coffee is mostly organic and is from Lexington, Virginia.

Although they arenﾒt made on-site, the donuts are a West Virginia favorite, coming from The Donut Shop in Buckhannon.

While you enjoy your meal and coffee, donﾒt forget your laptop, the bakery has free WiFi.

The bakery is open Monday and Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
