Durbin, Frank and Bartow still under boil water advisory

The Pocahontas County Public Service District declared a boil water advisory in the towns of Durbin, Frank and Bartow last week and have extended the advisory.

According to Ricky Barkley, the water flow in the town is still low after the loss caused by a water leak.

"As of today [Thursday], the water flow coming in is down to around 100 gallons per minute," Barkley said. "The people in the higher elevations could start experiencing water outages within the next few days."

Barkley added that a tanker with potable water has been sent to Durbin for people to get drinking water. The tanker will be parked at the Bartow-Frank-Durbin firehouse in Durbin.
