PMH billing back in-house

Pocahontas Memorial Hospital has been working closely with Minnie Hamilton Health System to find ways to continue to provide critical healthcare services to our citizens.

After taking a close look at the billing department and procedures, billing services will be brought back in-house as of November 1.ᅠ This will provide patients with more personalized service, be more efficient, streamline the billing processes and vastly improve our collection rate. To provide more hours of availability to patients in the clinic, business hours at PMH Medical Practice have changed and are now 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.

Lisa Howard EMSA-RN has been hired as Emergency Room Coordinator and Eric Clay EMT-P is the new EMS Coordinator. They are working closely with Trudi Anderson, RN, of Minnie Hamilton to achieve Level IV Trauma Center designation. This designation helps provide more enhanced training and procedures to provide a higher level of care.

Jeff McCray, DO, recently joined the clinic staff and is also working in the Emergency Department.ᅠ Guy Leveaux, MD, James Jarrett, DO, Ehab Awad, PA-C,ᅠ and David Plank, PA-C, provide services at the clinic, as well.

The clinic is ᅠexpanding services by offering Well-Child check-ups and will focus on chronic disease management. You may make an appointment at PMH Medical Practice by calling 304-799-6200. Walk-ins are accepted on a limited basis for convenience but appointments are preferred.

PMH has also become a smoke free facility. New policies have been put into effect that prohibit tobacco use by employees, patients and visitors on all PMH property. This policy will promote a healthy, tobacco-free environment.
