The Pocahontas County Honor Corps recognized its Teacher of the Year and Officers of the Year during the Veterans Day dinner Thursday. Sheriff's deputies Troy McCoy and David Walton, far left, were recognized for their years of dedication to the protection of Pocahontas County. Julian Rittenhouse, far right, fifth grade teacher at Green Bank Elementary-Middle School was selected as the corpsﾒ Teacher of the Year for his work with veterans in educating his students on the proper care and respect of the American flag.
