The Pocahontas County Grand Jury indicted 19 people when it convened last Thursday, according to Prosecuting Attorney Donna Price. Charges are felonies unless otherwise indicated.

Sex Crimes
ﾕSteven C. Bryant, 39, of Slaty Fork: burglary, sexual assault in the second degree.
ﾕRandall Bibb, 57, of Marlinton: failure to register as a sex offender within three days of release of incarceration.
ﾕLacy A. Biggs, 31, of Hillsboro: sexual abuse by a guardian or custodian or person in trust to a child, three counts.

Property Crimes/Personal
ﾕChristopher P. Grimes, 38, of Gas City, Indiana: burglary.
ﾕElmer Lee Tincher, III, 29, of Marlinton: burglary.
ﾕJoshua D. Kincaid, 25, of Marlinton: grand larceny, receiving or transferring stolen property.
ﾕPhillip Wayne Shinaberry, 20, of Cass: breaking and entering, conspiring, transfering/receiving stolen property.
ﾕDonald R. Hoke, 51, of Marlinton: grand larceny, receiving or transferring stolen property, misdemeanor providing false information, misdemeanor obstructing an officer.
ﾕShirley A. Turner, 25, of Marlinton: burglary, misdemeanor battery.

Drug Charges
ﾕWayne Allen Cool, 50, of Bartow: prohibited person in possession of a firearm, delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, two counts.
ﾕTimothy Lee Queen, 24, of Bartow: possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, misdemeanor delivery of a Schedule III controlled substance.
ﾕJohn Greathouse, 29, of Bartow: possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.
ﾕDouglas O. Trent, 53, of Charleston: delivery of a controlled substance.
ﾕTimothy P. McGinn, 51, of Slaty Fork: possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, misdemeanor delivery of a Schedule III controlled substance.
ﾕHarley F. Dickinson, 26, of Marlinton: possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, manufacture, possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of a firearm while being a prohibited person.

Miscellaneous Charges
ﾕRoger W. Teter, Jr., 37, of Buckeye: altering a registration plate.

Arraignments will be held in front of Judge James Rowe on August 19 at 9 a.m. and in front of Judge Joseph Pomponio on August 24 at 9:30 a.m.

An indictment is merely an accusation and not proof of any crime. All defendants are therefore deemed not guilty until found otherwise by a jury of their peers.
