Early voting winds down as Election Day nears

With November 6 getting closer, voters are heading to the courthouse for early voting, Pocahontas County clerk Missy Bennett said.

As of Tuesday afternoon, nearly 500 residents had cast their ballots thus far. Bennett added that the office has sent out approximately 150 absentee ballots, a new record for the county.

Early voting will continue through Saturday, November 3. Residents may vote early, through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Election Day, polls will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
